Position Summary

RP Bluegrass, a Radiology Partners practice, is seeking a Fellowship Trained Interventional Radiologist to join our growing practice in Hazard, KY, a charming city nestled in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains.

This unique position offers the opportunity to work SIX MONTHS out of the year while receiving a full year’s salary. Contributing to our operations on a 7on/7off schedule, you will have the flexibility to work remotely on weekends, providing a balance between work and personal life.

Position duties and responsibilities

  • 7on/7off (182 shifts) 8am – 5pm EST
  • 182 Shifts
  • Monday – Friday Onsite Procedures; Weekends – Diagnostic Reads
  • NO CALL - NO OVERNIGHTS
  • Perform all IR procedures AND General Radiology reads as needed
  • Moonlighting opportunities are available.
  • 1 year Partnership track position

LOCAL PRACTICE AND COMMUNITY OVERVIEW

A local Radiology Partners division, RP Bluegrass, will primarily serve Appalachian Regional Healthcare (ARH).  Appalachian Regional Healthcare, the Healthcare System of Appalachia and ranked as one of the Top 10 Employers in Kentucky by Forbes Magazine, is a not-for-profit health system operating 14 hospitals in Barbourville, Hazard, Harlan, Hyden, Martin, McDowell, Middlesboro, Paintsville, Prestonsburg, South Williamson, West Liberty and Whitesburg in Kentucky; as well as Beckley and Hinton in West Virginia, along with multi-specialty physician practices, home health agencies, home medical equipment stores, and retail pharmacies.


DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Board certified by American Board of Radiology or the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology
  • Candidates will be residency-trained in Diagnostic Radiology and Fellowship trained in Interventional Radiology
  • KY & WV license – Full-Service Credentialing Department to assist - Both States Participate in Interstate Medical Licensure
