Position SummarY:
Radiology Partners (RP) is seeking a visionary and experienced radiologist to serve as Associate Director of Artificial Intelligence (AI), a key leadership role responsible for advancing the integration of AI technologies across clinical workflows. This physician leader will dedicate a portion of their time to guiding the identification, evaluation, deployment, education, and continuous monitoring of AI solutions that enhance diagnostic accuracy, operational efficiency, and patient outcomes. The remainder of their time will be spent practicing clinical radiologist within a local RP practice, either onsite or remotely. The ideal candidate will bring a strong clinical background, a passion for innovation, and a commitment to leading AI-driven initiatives in healthcare. Position Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support AI strategy and implementation by partnering with internal teams to plan, coordinate, and execute AI initiatives across the national practice.
- Identify adoption barriers and recommend solutions to improve clinical integration, workflow usability, and overall user experience.
- Contribute to project planning and execution by defining milestones, monitoring progress, and ensuring timely delivery of AI initiatives.
- Facilitate team alignment and communication to ensure shared goals, cross-department collaboration, and clear project priorities.
- Evaluate AI tools and workflows by providing clinical expertise on effectiveness, safety, and compatibility with radiology practices.
- Support continuous AI performance monitoring, including accuracy, drift detection, user feedback, and radiologist interaction to ensure quality, safety, and opportunities for education.
- Document workflows and share knowledge to support continuous improvement and the development of best practices.
- Engage in cross-functional collaboration and communication, serving as a liaison to physicians, operations, technology, legal/compliance, vendors, and clinical end-users; includes presenting AI concepts to diverse audiences.
DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy; eligible or certified by the American Board of Radiology or American Board of Osteopathic Radiology.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, with experience in a Radiology Partners practice required.
- Healthcare leadership or management experience (minimum 2 years), including managing clinical or technical projects related to AI or healthcare technology.
- Experience engaging with external audiences, including delivering presentations and leading discussions; experience managing individuals or teams a plus.
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, industry trends, and best practices.
- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Ability to make strategic decisions, generate innovative solutions, and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
COMPENSATION:
The salary range for this position is $400K-$450K. Final determinations may vary based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, geographic location etc. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
