POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for leading and optimizing the lifecycle management of all hardware and software assets, while also overseeing national IT purchasing. As the Asset Manager, you will develop and implement strategies that ensure efficient procurement, accurate tracking, and well-governed processes across the enterprise. This role partners cross-functionally to drive cost efficiency, compliance, and operational excellence, ensuring employees have the tools they need, when they need them. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in ITIL, ITAM, and financial acumen, with a proven ability to deliver business value through effective asset management and procurement operations.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and lead enterprise-wide IT asset management and procurement strategies to optimize the full hardware and software lifecycle from acquisition through deployment, maintenance, and disposal.
  • Oversee all IT hardware and software purchasing across the enterprise, ensuring alignment with business objectives, budgets, and compliance requirements.
  • Standardize and streamline national IT purchasing processes to achieve economies of scale, cost savings, operational efficiency, and improved vendor performance.
  • Maintain accurate, real-time asset and software inventory in ServiceNow, ensuring data accuracy, lifecycle traceability, and compliance with governance standards.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, Procurement, Finance, Security, and Engineering teams to ensure sourcing and asset decisions meet technical, financial, and compliance requirements.
  • Partner with Vendor Management to negotiate contracts, manage supplier relationships, and monitor vendor performance to ensure quality service delivery and cost optimization.
  • Oversee inventory control processes for endpoint devices, including receiving, tagging, deployment, recovery, and disposal, to maintain accountability and security.
  • Forecast and manage hardware demand by monitoring stock levels, refresh cycles, and business needs to prevent shortages or overstock.
  • Lead regular audits and compliance reviews to enforce policies, mitigate risks, and maintain adherence to software licensing and regulatory standards.
  • Analyze asset utilization, performance, and financial metrics to identify improvement opportunities and support data-driven decision-making
  • Advise on policy alignment, compliance, and process improvements to strengthen purchasing, asset management, and vendor management operations.

REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERINECE 
  • 5+ years of experience in IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and tools; healthcare experience preferred.
  • Certifications such as Certified Asset Management Professional (CAMP), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), ITIL v4 Foundation (or higher), Lean Six Sigma, CompTIA Project+, or similar.
  • Proven track record leading enterprise-wide IT hardware asset management initiatives at scale (5,000- 8,000 employees)
  • Strong knowledge of IT asset lifecycle management, including hardware and software procurement, deployment, tracking, and compliance.
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices (e.g., incident, change, configuration, and asset management).Hands-on experience with ITAM/ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Kandji, WorkspaceOne).
  • Proven ability to manage vendors, contracts, and purchasing operations to optimize cost and delivery.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills across IT, procurement, finance, and operations.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 

  • Experience designing or improving ITSM workflows and asset management processes.
  • Ability to maintain accurate IT asset inventories and software license compliance.
  • Knowledge of emerging ITSM trends (e.g., ITIL 4, AI-driven service management, cloud-based solutions).
  • Experience driving digital transformation within ITAM functions, including tool implementations and process automation.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance impacting IT asset and supply chain management.
COMPENSATION
The salary range for this position is $115,000 - $135,000. Final determinations may vary based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, geographic location etc. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
