POSITION SUMMARY 

Radiology Partners is looking for a Registered Nurse to work in collaboration with scheduling, the technologists and the radiologists to provide comprehensive care for their patients. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the following tasks: patient evaluation, completing history and physical exams, documenting and communicating patient treatment plans, ensuring proper staffing is available for proper patient care, leading the quality programs and documenting policies and procedures for the imaging center. The Registered Nurse will also be expected to call in prescriptions for patients, monitor patients during procedures and manage all patient follow up. A Registered Nurse should promote and restore patients' health by completing the nursing process; collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to provide physical and psychological support to patients, friends and families. 

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Identifies patient care requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and current patients and other persons in a position to understand care requirements 
  • Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological and spiritual support to patients, friends and families 
  • Promotes patient's independence by establishing patient care goals; teaching patient, friends and family to understand condition, medications, and self-care skills; answering questions 
  • Assures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards; measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards; making or recommending necessary adjustments; following Medical X-Ray Consultants' philosophies and standards of care set by state board of nursing, state nurse practice act and other governing agency regulations
  • Resolves patient problems and needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies 

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 

  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing 
  • WI Licensure 
  • Minimum 5 years-experience 
  • Current BLS, ACLS certification required 
  • Experience with IV moderate sedation; proficient starting IVs 
  • Previous Radiology experience is highly desirable
