Who We Are:
Our story began in the early 1950s with Dr. Robert Taylor. By 1966 Dr. Taylor was joined by Dr. Harris Knudson and Dr. James Lum and the 3 formed Taylor, Knudson & Lum. In 1969 Dr. Francis Esposito joined the practice, followed by Dr. Richard Ellis and Dr. Paul Bandt in 1971. By the mid 1970s, the location was expanded and renamed to Desert Radiologists. in 1987 it was relocated to 2020 Palomino Lane, and still operates in this location today. In 2017, the practice name was officially changed to Desert Radiology.
We are also proud to support many local non-profit organizations, including City Impact Center, Project 150, Opportunity Village, the American Lung Association of Southern Nevada, Shriner's Hospital for Children, Veteran's Village, Susan G. Komen, St. Jude's Children Research Hospital and many more. DR also has partnerships with numerous athletic groups such as the Vegas Golden Knights, Las Vegas Aces, Las Vegas Lights FC, Las Vegas Aviators, Las Vegas Raiders, Las Vegas Knight Hawks and many, many more sports teams.

Summary:
Desert Radiology in Las Vegas, Nevada is seeking an Imaging Facility Manger that will be responsible for planning, organizing, and managing all aspects (clinical, administrative, and personnel) of the Imaging Facility.

Position Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plans, directs, and supervises all aspects of the Imaging Facility in regard to radiology services and administrative processes. Researches and recommends appropriate action to the Medical Director or Chief Operating Officer as required to ensure the maximum efficiency of the Imaging Facility.
- Plans, staffs, directs and controls personnel activities to include: budgeting for and controlling expenses, interviewing and selecting personnel, appraising performance, administering salaries, developing and coaching subordinates, maintaining positive morale, and adhering to all employee policies set forth by the company.
- Manages and actively participates in the maintenance of radiologic services in accordance with standards established by the company and applicable state and federal standards.
- Conducts ongoing reviews of the Imaging Facility to ensure compliance with accreditation, legal, and other regulatory requirements.
- Performs marketing activities by visiting medical providers to promote Desert Radiologists’ medical services.
- As a member of the Safety Committee, actively participates in overall safety requirements for the company. Serves as the safety officer for the Imaging Facility, ensuring all activities are managed in accordance with state and federal safety guidelines. This includes oversight of the radiation safety requirements.
Desired Professional Skills and Experience:
This position calls for a highly organized individual as their role will require self-direction, flexibility, and a capacity to give and receive feedback graciously. The Imaging Facility Manager should possess the following professional qualifications and personal attributes:
- Knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques of radiology in order to direct the clinical and administrative workflow of the facility.
- Knowledge of radiology standards to monitor and evaluate work performance.
- Knowledge of radiology equipment and testing to determine needs and evaluate equipment for purchase.
- Knowledge of safety requirements to provide instructions and to recognize and correct hazardous conditions.
- Knowledge of health care insurance practices to include regulations, billing, and coding requirements.
- Skill in anticipating and reacting appropriately to a variety of situations, identifying and resolving issues.
- Skill in developing and maintaining quality assurance methods.
- Ability to monitor the financial matters of the facility and manage expenditures within a reasonable level.
- Minimum of five years’ experience in the field of radiology (technologist background preferred).
- Minimum of five years supervisory and/or leadership experience; demonstrated leadership abilities.
- Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree Required
The salary range for this position is $115,000 - $125,000. Final determinations may vary based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, geographic location etc. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
