Position Summary

Radiology Partners is seeking a Support Analyst. The Support Analyst must possess good trouble shooting, communication, customer service and organizational skills. They must have a firm commitment to quality, and must demonstrate personal traits of a high level of trust, innovation, team orientation, motivation, professionalism, and place a high value on treating others with dignity and respect.

Position Duties and Responsibilities

Information Technology support

  • Setup and configures workstations.
  • Audits system, usage and data to verify confidentiality, integrity and availability of data on all IT systems containing PHI (i.e., PACs, RIS, servers, etc.).
  • Interfaces with Medical equipment vendors on equipment/networking requirements.
  • Network troubleshooting and problem-solving, including factors related to network connection, data transfer performance, etc.

PACS System Administration

  • Works under the direction of the Senior PACS administrator and management.
  • If assigned to work at a client hospital, works collaboratively as a liaison with the Radiology Manager and Medical Imaging Associates.
  • Provides PACS application support to radiologists, technologists and clients.
  • Issues user IDs and passwords (add/change/delete users, granting appropriate database privileges, putting new users into appropriate user groups, maintaining appropriate documentation for all PACs users).
  • Software installation and setup with new clients.
  • Monitors merge list and combines studies and patient data as needed.
  • Manages the operations of the PACS systems at the local facility and other facilities to meet the clinical needs of the managing medical images and referring physicians' expectations of receipt of diagnosis.
  • Resolution of image exceptions, reconciliations of inappropriate or misfiled accession number issues, unread images and inappropriate MRN demographics, and secure archival images.
  • Required to take evening and weekend call shift once every six weeks.

  • Establishes efficient work processes to achieve and maintain the highest possible professional standards in customer services to all clients.
  • Suggests changes to management to improve customer service.
  • Responds to requests for information, care or service in a timely and polite manner.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality of patient and employee information.
  • Demonstrates flexibility in accepting new assignments.
  • Participates in staff and educational meetings.
  • Maintains knowledge of and adheres to medical compliance policies and procedures (HIPAA, Red Flags Identity Theft, OSHA, etc.).

DESIRED TECHNICAL AND PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (information technology or similar computer-related degree or associates degree with equivalent experience). OR two years clinical experience as a radiology technologist
  • Experience in system maintenance and support.
  • Demonstrable skill in network and PC troubleshooting.
  • Advanced skill level in Microsoft operating systems and Office software.
  • Self-directed and produce excellent work.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for communication with medical personnel.
  • Creative, highly motivated, resistant to stress, flexible, and decisive.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other staff.
  • Excellent IT troubleshooting skills.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare-related field helpful.

The hourly range for this position is $22.50 - $24.00.
