Position Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Create a strategic vision and program for procurement, placement and operational support of the corporate insurance program
- Provider leadership for the implementation of a self-insured or captive insurance program
- Evaluate and support existing Corporate Insurance program (professional liability, general liability, executive lines, property, workers’ compensation, etc.) and implement process improvement program changes
- Accountable for achieving strategic objectives, ensuring effective risk management and supervising, leading and/or directing key risk stakeholders
- Lead insurance renewals for professional, casualty, and executive lines of coverage
- Perform review and initial investigation of workers’ compensation and property-related Incident Reports (IRs) in anticipation of litigation and for claim handling
- Participate in loss prevention activities, to include field/corporate education/training
- Function as liaison to the insurance carrier and insurance broker
- Oversee the process for certificate of insurance, secure and renew all required bonds and letters of credit
- Participate in due diligence activities related to the insurance programs, when assigned
- Track invoices and billing regarding insurance activity
- Respond to subpoenas related to core area of responsibility
- Metric reporting, to include loss run analyses, and risk/insurance problems, in collaboration with broker/carrier
- Update and monitor compliance with insurance procedure
- Coordinate with insurance carrier on loss run management
- Coordinate with other departments, such as Human Resources and Finance, as required
- Other duties as assigned
DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 7-10 years’ experience in insurance handling, experience in radiology preferred
- Possesses exceptional communication skills, both written and oral
- Experience presenting to executive management
- Possesses exceptional computer skills and data management skills
COMPENSATION:
The salary range for this position is $115,000-$130,000. Final determinations may vary based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, geographic location etc. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
