Position Summary
The Radiology Partners IT Team is seeking a driven, high-performing, experienced IT Imaging Services (IIS) Optimization Manager aimed at improving the efficiency, performance, and scalability of our IT infrastructure, systems, and processes. The ideal candidate would assist in managing and supporting the Radiology Partners solutions and services. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for identifying areas for optimization, leading cross-functional projects, and implementing best practices to ensure that our IT operations support business growth, reduce costs, and enhance overall system performance. This role will work remotely with end users who utilize the provided Radiology Partners IT systems. The candidate must have the skills to identify, communicate, and resolve IT Imaging System issues to maximize the efficiency and benefit of the Radiology Partners IT team. This role requires a highly motivated team member dedicated to delivering value and exceptional personalized customer experiences.
Position Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the IT Optimization Team aiming to implement IT optimization strategies focused on improving system performance, scalability, and operational efficiency.
- Lead and mentor a team of Clinical Application and IT specialists focused on system performance and optimization.
- Collaborate with IT leadership to align optimization efforts with broader business and technology goals.
- Identify inefficiencies in existing IT operations, systems, and workflows, and propose solutions to streamline processes.
- Lead and manage the initiatives to automate repetitive tasks and improve resource utilization across IT services and infrastructure.
- Oversee and be accountable for Service Now Problem Ticket management, ensuring that problem tickets are updated and progressing toward final resolution.
- Oversee the implementation of performance monitoring tools and practices to track system performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Oversee the Optimization Team’s efforts toward improving system performance, reducing downtimes, and continuously improving resource utilization.
- Identify areas for cost reduction within the IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and cloud resources.
- Work closely with internal teams, including Network Operations, Software Development, Customer Success to align IT systems with business objectives.
- Act as a liaison between IT and other service lanes to ensure smooth collaboration and optimization of cross-functional processes.
- Provide guidance and training to team members on optimization techniques, best practices, and new technologies.
- Lead and manage optimization projects from the inception to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Ensure that optimization projects are aligned with Radiology Partners’ strategic goals and deliver measurable improvements in efficiency.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to system performance and reliability, ensuring business continuity.
- Ensure optimization efforts comply with security and data privacy regulatory and industry standards.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and new approaches to optimize technology use.
- Be highly proficient in the configuration, implementation, testing, and support of worklist products, PACS, Worklists, Vendor Neutral Archive (VNA), and Voice Recognition (VR) systems used by Radiology Partners.
- Be highly proficient in configuring and supporting additional Clinical IT products such as Advanced Visualization, AI platforms, Natural Language Processing platforms, Analytics, or other platforms utilized in imaging workflow.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting VPN tunnels configurations.
- Have a full understanding of how Imaging IT systems work with one another on the server side and diagnostic reading workstations.
- Interface with PACS, modalities, advanced visualization tools, and other solution vendors to implement solutions and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner.
- Be responsible for IT activities related to user access, incidents, service interruptions, and planned downtimes. Also, document and communicate processes to IT to ensure a consistent user experience.
- Identify trends of recurring issues for clients, radiologists, and IT, and manage problems by working with internal and vendor resources to achieve a permanent solution.
- Ensure proper notification and communication of ongoing issues to the team and provide work-around solutions until a permanent resolution is established.
- Utilize the Service Now ticketing system to document solutions and ensure proper communication of resolutions to customers.
- Manage planned and unplanned downtimes following Radiology Partners standard downtime procedures and escalate as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, technical issues, and resolutions.
- Coordinate upgrades and follow Radiology Partners change management processes.
- Serve as the escalation point for any concerns, requests, or work not being managed by IT in a timely manner.
- Ensure that systems, solutions, and processes are in place to meet the needs of internal and external clients.
- Utilize the Radiology Partners IT Team to ensure the technical needs of the radiologists are met.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and provide tailored solutions to ensure their success.
- Promote a culture of communication and cooperation among teammates, ensuring that knowledge and resources are shared effectively to enhance team performance and customer satisfaction.
- Work closely with clinical and IT leadership and teammates to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to direct reports, including coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions.
DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in IT management, with a focus on system performance, optimization, and process improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in health information systems or a related discipline preferred, or five years or more of diverse work experience in IT. Healthcare experience, particularly in radiology, is favored.
- Strong customer focus with a proven ability to understand customer and stakeholder insights and develop strategies and IT solutions to meet these customer needs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities, with experience developing and mentoring staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across service lanes and present findings to senior leadership.
- Exceptional work ethic with the ability to self-start and work independently or as part of a diverse team.
- Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to easily identify areas that require improvement.
- Impeccable communication and interpersonal skills necessary to ensure proper alignment with the broader organization and enterprise strategies and to lead the team towards that alignment.
- Direct experience in meeting with and customizing solutions at the client level is preferred.
- Ability to foster a collaborative environment, encouraging open communication and teamwork to achieve common goals.

The salary range for this position is $90K-$110K. Final determinations may vary based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, geographic location etc. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
