LOCAL PRACTICE AND COMMUNITY OVERVIEW

Empire State Radiology (ESR), an affiliate of Radiology Partners, is one of the leading radiology practices on Long Island, New York. ESR has over 30 physicians (and growing!) and provides radiology services for 4 outpatient imaging centers and 6 hospitals in the Catholic Health system. All 6 hospitals are NYSDOH designated Stroke Centers. ESR physicians are board certified with subspecialties in Neuroradiology, Musculoskeletal, Pediatrics and Women's Diagnostic Imaging.

Long Island, New York City’s beachfront backyard, has a lot to offer for those who want a combination of nature and arts and entertainment. During the summer, you can relax and enjoy the beaches while in winter you can still enjoy the outdoors thanks to the moderate amount of snowfall. In the fall and spring, enjoy the bursts of colors from leaves and flowers. If you want to go adventuring on the high seas, hop onto the various ferries that take you to popular beach destinations like Fire Island, Block Island and Montauk. If you enjoy the arts, there are museums, performing arts centers and art galleries dotted around the island. If you’re into the music scene, there are many music venues you can visit from bars to concert halls. Easily travel between Long Island and New York City via the Long Island Railroad. DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE


  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Osteopathy (DO)

  • Board Eligible or Certified, American Board of Radiology (ABR) or American Osteopathic Board of Radiology (AOBR)

  • Residency Trained, ACGME Accredited Radiology Program

  • Fellowship training preferred, in either Body, Neuro, or ER

  • Prefer candidates who are NY-licensed or have the ability to be licensed in New York state
