POSITION SUMMARY

·           Competitive Salary

·           Monday – Friday 8 am to 5 pm EST

o    NO CALL, NO EVENINGS, NO WEEKENDS

·           Primary role is to be a physician extender/substitute for procedures performed in Interventional radiology and Ultrasound

·           Assist in the performance of direct patient care services, including inpatient consults, inpatient rounding

·           Perform physical examinations, determine medical histories, diagnose and treat illnesses and/or injuries

·           Order and interpret laboratory and radiographic studies

·           Develop and implement patient management plans and record progress notes

·           Perform history and physical examinations of radiology patients

·           Field phone calls from patients, referring physicians, nurses and other health care professionals regarding patients to identify potential areas of concern in the medical management of the patients

·           Procedures: Central lines, Tunneled Catheters, Chest Tubes, Paracentesis, Thoracentesis, Superficial Biopsies, Lumbar Punctures, Myelograms, Arthrograms, Abscess Drainage, Thyroid Biopsies, Fluoro

Radiology Partners Bluegrass is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Physician Assistant to join our Interventional Radiology team in Prestonsburg, KY. This hospital-based position is procedurally oriented, focusing on routine interventional procedures in a supportive and collaborative environment.

DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Current license and certificate of authority to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of Kentucky required
  • Must be a graduate of an ARC accredited PA program, have an active DEA license, BLS certification required
  • Interventional Radiology experience is required
