Position Summary

Mountain Radiology, a physician-led and highly collegial practice, is seeking a part-time General Diagnostic Radiologist to provide onsite coverage in the Yampa / Steamboat Springs area of Colorado.

This role offers a predictable three-day-per-month schedule (Tuesday–Thursday) and is primarily focused on general diagnostic radiology, with a limited procedural component consisting of basic procedures commonly performed by diagnostic radiologists, including fluoroscopy, lumbar punctures, and GI studies. No advanced or complex interventional radiology procedures are required.

LOCAL PRACTICE AND COMMUNITY OVERVIEW

Western Colorado Radiologic Associates (WCRA) is a progressive, physician-led practice serving several surrounding hospitals and clinics including St. Mary’s Medical Center, the largest hospital between Denver and Salt Lake City and the only Level II trauma center in the region, providing critical emergency, trauma, surgical, stroke, cancer, cardiac, women’s health, and NICU care for western Colorado and eastern Utah. We combine modern practice infrastructure with a strong culture of partnership, collaboration, and stability.

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Board eligible or certified by American Board of Radiology (ABR) or the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology (AOBR)
  •   MQSA (required)
  • Licensed in Colorado or ability to obtain CO licensure

COMPENSATION:

This is a contract-based, part-time onsite role compensated at a flat daily rate of $4,000 per onsite day. Based on an anticipated schedule of approximately 30–36 onsite shifts annually, annualized compensation is expected to range from $120,000–$140,000, depending on the number of shifts worked. Reasonable travel expenses, including flight and hotel, are provided. No weekend coverage is required. Final determinations may vary based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, geographic location etc.
