POSITION SUMMARY

Radiology Partners Georgia is seeking a full-time certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner. RP Georgia services two hospitals and two outpatient imaging centers in Columbus, Georgia. The ideal candidate will be proficient in providing procedure-based radiology services in both hospital and clinic-based practice setting, such services to include but not be limited to pre-procedure evaluation and preparation of patients undergoing interventional or other image guided radiologic procedures, evaluation of patients in consultation, inpatient hospital rounds, and long term patient follow-up. The candidate will represent the practice in interactions with hospital staff, referring clinicians, patients, and the health care community in general.     

This is a Monday-Friday, 8 am - 5:00 pm position in a fast-paced, environment.  

  • Pre-procedure H&P examinations under the direction and supervision of a radiologist
  • Entering orders in collaboration with the attending radiologist
  • Completes consults, patient consent, and procedure follow up appointments
  • Assisting with IR procedures to include to include paracentesis, thoracentesis, arthrograms, lumbar punctures, chest tubes and thyroid biopsies.  All may be learned onsite.
  • Assist with patient education, follow up and discharge notes

RP Georgia is a practice of 10 fellowship trained radiologists in Breast Imaging, Neuroradiology, MSK, and Pediatrics providing support to the Piedmont system.  This is a full-service system, with the Midtown Campus being a 583-bed tertiary hospital and the Northside Campus a 100-bed community campus.

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Candidates must be a certified/eligible Physician Assistant or certified/eligible Nurse Practitioner
  • Licensed to practice in the state of GA
  • Good knowledge of standard laboratory tests and interventional radiological procedures  
  • BLS AND ACLS certification required
