Position Summary
The Radiology Partners IT Team is seeking a driven, visionary and strategic IT Imaging Services (IIS) Optimization Director to lead the transformation and continuous improvement of our IT systems, processes, and infrastructure. The ideal candidate would be responsible for driving efficiency, enhancing system performance, and ensuring scalability across the Radiology Partners’ technology ecosystem as well as identifying areas for optimization and implementing best practices to ensure that our IT operations support business growth, and reducing costs. The Director of IT Optimization will collaborate with clinical, administrative, and technical teams to ensure seamless integration and performance of the Clinical Applications and associated IT systems. This role will work remotely and must have the skills to identify, communicate, and oversee the resolution of IT Imaging System issues to maximize the efficiency and benefit of the Radiology Partners IT team. This role requires a highly motivated team member dedicated to delivering value and exceptional personalized customer experiences.
Position Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of IT professionals focused on optimization, performance tuning, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive IT optimization strategy that aligns with Radiology Partners’ broader business objectives.
- Develop and implement overarching strategies to improve clinical application systems’ performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Continuously seek to improve inefficiencies in IT operations, processes, and workflows and propose solutions to streamline and optimize them.
- Implement automation and digital transformation initiatives to drive operational efficiency and reduce manual work.
- Lead initiatives to modernize and optimize infrastructure, hardware, software, and operations to support business growth and technological innovation.
- Collaborate with leadership across IT, Product Development, Operations, and cross-functional service lanes to ensure alignment on optimization goals and to facilitate seamless execution.
- Acts as a strategic partner to business stakeholders, understanding their needs and ensuring IT services meet performance and efficiency requirements.
- Oversee the evaluation of existing IT processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
- Provide support in optimizing contracts, services, and technologies for better value.
- Lead process reengineering efforts to streamline operations, reduce redundancies, and improve service delivery.
- Implement performance monitoring tools and systems to track, analyze, and report on IT infrastructure and application Performance.
- Develop and implement current and future clinical applications and associated system optimization strategies.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings while ensuring the continued performance, reliability, and security of Radiology Partners clinical application and IT systems.
- Build a culture of innovation and efficiency, fostering new approaches to problem-solving and technology usage.
- Provide regular feedback, coaching, and career development opportunities for team members.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and governance of large-scale optimization projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
- Ensure that optimization projects are aligned with Radiology Partners’ strategic goals and deliver measurable improvements in efficiency.
- Establish metrics for success and lead post-implementation reviews to ensure optimization goals are achieved.
- Identify risks related to system performance, scalability, and reliability, and implement proactive measures to mitigate them.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and new approaches to optimize technology use.
- Be highly proficient in the configuration, implementation, testing, and support of worklist products, PACS, Worklists, Vendor Neutral Archive (VNA), and Voice Recognition (VR) systems used by Radiology Partners.
- Be highly proficient in configuring and supporting additional Clinical IT products such as Advanced Visualization, AI platforms, Natural Language Processing platforms, Analytics, or other platforms utilized in imaging workflow.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting VPN tunnels configurations.
- Have a full understanding of how Imaging IT systems work with one another on the server side and read station desktop.
- Identify trends of recurring issues for clients, radiologists, and IT, and manage problems by working with internal and vendor resources to achieve a permanent solution.
- Ensure proper notification and communication of ongoing issues to the team and provide work-around solutions until a permanent resolution is established.
- Utilize the Service Now ticketing system to document solutions and ensure proper communication of resolutions to customers.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, technical issues, and resolutions.
- Coordinate upgrades and follow Radiology Partners change management processes.
- Serve as the escalation point for any concerns, requests, or work not being managed by IT in a timely manner.
- Ensure that systems, solutions, and processes are in place to meet the needs of internal and external clients.
- Utilize the Radiology Partners IT Team to ensure the technical needs of the radiologists are met.
- Stay current with the latest technology trends, tools, and best practices to ensure Radiology Partners remains at the forefront in innovation.
- Explore and implement emerging technologies and automation to continuously improve IT service delivery, operational efficiency, and business agility.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and provide tailored solutions to ensure their success.
- Promote a culture of communication and cooperation among teammates, ensuring that knowledge and resources are shared effectively to enhance team performance and customer satisfaction.
- Work closely with clinical and IT leadership and teammates to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to direct reports, including coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions.
DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required.
- Master’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, or related discipline is preferred.
- Relevant certifications such as ITIL, Six Sigma, PMP, or Lean Management are desirable.
- Strong customer focus with a proven ability to understand customer and stakeholder insights and develop strategies and IT solutions to meet these customer needs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities, with experience developing and mentoring staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across service lanes and present findings to senior leadership.
- Exceptional work ethic with the ability to self-start and work independently or as part of a diverse team.
- Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to easily identify areas that require improvement.
- Impeccable communication and interpersonal skills necessary to ensure proper alignment with the broader organization and enterprise strategies and to lead the team towards that alignment.
- Direct experience in meeting with and customizing solutions at the client level is preferred.

The salary range for this position is $115,000-$135,000. Final determinations may vary based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, geographic location etc. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
