Radiology Partners Bluegrass is seeking an enthusiastic Physician Assistant to work in the Interventional Radiology section in Beckley, WV. This hospital-based position is highly procedurally oriented.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Competitive Salary

·         Monday – Friday 8 am to 5 pm EST

·         NO CALL, NO EVENINGS, NO WEEKENDS

·         Primary role is to be physician extender/substitute for procedures performed in Interventional radiology and Ultrasound

·         Assist in the performance of direct patient care services, including inpatient consults, inpatient rounding

·         Perform physical examinations, determine medical histories, diagnose and treat illnesses and/or injuries

·         Develop and implement patient management plans and record progress notes

·         Perform history and physical examinations of radiology patients

·         Field phone calls from patients, referring physicians, nurses and other health care professionals regarding patients to identify potential areas of concern in the medical management of the patients

·         Procedures: Central lines, Tunneled Catheters, Chest Tubes, Paracentesis, Thoracentesis, Superficial Biopsies, Lumbar Punctures, Myelograms, Arthrograms, Abscess Drainage, Thyroid Biopsies, Fluoro

DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

·         Current license and certificate of authority to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of West Virginia required

·         Must be a graduate of an ARC accredited PA program, have an active DEA license, BLS certification required

·         Interventional Radiology or comparable invasive procedure experience
