POSITION SUMMARY:
Radiology Partners has an open position for an AVP of Outpatient IT Services. The position will report to senior leadership and be responsible for working with many areas within the IT and Clinical teams with a focus on managing all aspects of the Outpatient IT Services Team, including Regional IT Leads at all Practices with significant RP Owned or JV OP volume. This person is ultimately responsible for the team who maintains the performance and standardization of the RP owned Radiology Information System (RIS), Online Scheduling, CDS and other OP specific applications as required. The Sr. Director of OP Project Management will report to this individual as well.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
General
- Responsible for developing strong relationships with RP OP Ops leaders, practice directors, Radiologists and, at all levels of the organization, able to effectively communicate the goals and objectives of the Outpatient IT team •
- Provide regular analytical updates to all interested parties •
- Manage completion of all practice inquiries •
- Create, develop, and deliver performance improvement plans •
- Develop a mutually beneficial relationship with the JV’s and clients to which RP provides IT services •
- Oversee and track their understanding of monthly strategic objectives •
- Plan and set the available IT resources, onsite resources and support to complete identified project or process improvement •
- Coordinate upgrades, change of equipment (access, training, and introduction to services) •
- Escalation point for the market of any concerns, requests or work not being managed by IT in a timely manner. •
- Interfacing with the Innovation Team and other RP IT Service Lane Leaders within Information Technology and various internal constituencies to bring leading edge technology solutions to bear for key clients. •
- Oversees the team that ensures that systems, solutions and processes are in place to meet the needs of internal and external clients. •
- Coordinates with the full RP IT team to ensure that the IT needs of the outpatient centers are met •
- Is an escalation point for IT issues as presented by Outpatient IT senior leaders •
- All duties as assigned in alignment with skills and expertise •
- Travel up to 25%, as needed.
- Oversee and ensure OP Application team is performing application maintenance and upgrades
- Accountable for the roll out of new sites
- Work with staff to develop estimates for migrations and conversions
- Identifies enhancements to known solutions within the knowledge base.
- Develops and prioritizes service improvement projects.
- Identifies and plans for the standardization and development of National OP application best practices across RP
DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Looking for candidates located in Austin, TX or Texas.
Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Systems or related field preferred; 5+ years of diverse IT experience; 5–7 years managing medium–large IT or business projects, ideally in outpatient radiology.
Clinical Workflow & Systems Knowledge: Ability to facilitate working sessions, document workflows, gather requirements, and work with physicians and support staff; plus experience with HL7, PACS, voice recognition systems, healthcare workflows, and process flow documentation.

Customer & Stakeholder Focus: Proven ability to understand customer needs, gather stakeholder insights, and develop effective IT strategies and solutions.

Communication & Leadership: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills to ensure alignment with organizational strategy and lead teams effectively.

Technical & Analytical Skills: Experience managing clinical application projects; ability to define application requirements and evaluate vendor offerings; adaptable to new technologies.

Project Management Tools: Proficient with project plans, work breakdown structures, risk analysis, issue tracking, testing plans, communication plans, and similar project-specific tools.

Work Conditions: Able to work flexible hours across time zones; primarily remote work with travel to RP/client sites as needed; performs other duties as required.
COMPENSATION:
The salary range for this position is $190,000.00 - $230,000.00. Final determinations may vary based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, geographic location etc. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
