POSITION DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a highly experienced Workday HCM Business Product Owner. This role will partner with the Workday Technical Product team and will be instrumental in overseeing the Functional requirements & components of the Workday HCM implementation, administration, and optimization of our Workday platform to ensure it meets the evolving needs of our organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Workday, a strong background in HR technology, and a proven track record of driving Workday HCM initiatives that align with business objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership & Management:
- Work with functional sub-teams to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the platform.
- Collaborate with HR leadership and cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into Workday HCM requirements.
- Develop and execute a strategic HCM roadmap, ensuring alignment with overall HR and organizational goals.
- Workday Implementation & Optimization:
- Partner with Information technology to drive the implementation, business processes, and maintenance of the Workday platform, ensuring it supports the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, compensation, benefits, and offboarding.
- Continuously assess the business requirements to optimize HR processes and workflows to improve efficiency and user experience.
Business Process Optimization:
- Understand the current HR processes and identify opportunities for improvement and system enhancements
- Collaborate with HR Leadership to align Workday capabilities to organization goals
- Stay informed on Workday HCM product releases and best practices
- Data Management & Reporting:
- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of HR data within Workday
- Develop and maintain HR analytics and reporting capabilities, providing actionable insights to HR and business leaders.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and company policies.
Project Management:
- Manage HCM projects from initiation to completion, including defining project scope, timelines, resources, and budgets.
- Collaborate with Information Technology and other departments to integrate HCM data with other business systems.
- Monitor project progress, manage risks, and ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management:
- Manage relationships with external vendors and consultants, ensuring they deliver high-quality services and support.
- Act as a Functional point of contact for Workday, staying informed about new features, releases, and best practices.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, providing regular updates on HCM initiatives and performance.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in HRIS management, with a strong focus on Workday.
- Deployed Workday HCM at least once, preferable multiple times
- Former or current HR practitioner
- Proven experience leading Functional teams and managing large-scale HR technology projects.
- Deep knowledge of HR processes, data management, and compliance requirements.

- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Workday certification is highly desirable.

The salary range for this position is $125K - $150K. Final determinations may vary based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, geographic location etc. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
