POSITION SUMMARY
Radiology Partners is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Radiologist for a leadership position in the New York area. In addition to interpreting General Radiology studies and perform light IR procedures. There is a current team in place and an established infrastructure for efficient, collaborative workflow throughout the practice.
The is a M-F, daytime shift covering three sites in Suffern, Port Jervis and Warwick. Call is handled remotely and in rotation with current team.
For this position we offer a highly competitive salary, sign on/retention bonus, generous time off, a relocation package and a full complement of health and welfare benefits to include 401K. Partnership is available after two years. Moonlighting opportunities offered for additional compensation.
DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Residency training in Diagnostic Radiology form an ACGME accredited U.S. training program
- Fellowship training in Body Imaging is a plus
- Proficiency in basic IR is required
- Board eligible or certified by American Board of Radiology or the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology
- Licensed in NY or the ability to obtain a NY Medical License
LOCAL PRACTICE AND COMMUNITY OVERVIEW
Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, NY is a non-profit, 286-bed hospital providing emergency, medical, surgical, obstetrical/gynecological and acute care services to residents of Rockland and southern Orange Counties in New York; and northern Bergen County, New Jersey. Other hospitals this position covers are Bon Secours Community Hospital in Port Jervis and St. Anthony Community Hospital in Warwick.
The Radiology Departments offer the full range of services to include Nuclear Medicine and Breast Imaging. Minor procedures such as biopsies and drainages, PICC line placement and Thoracentesis and Paracentesis.
The village of Suffern in the town of Ramapo has a population of about 11,000. The town is about 30 miles northwest of New York City, on the New York-New Jersey state line. The village is served by NJ Transit on the Main/Bergen County Line and by three tri-state area airports: Teterboro Airport (40 minutes’ drive), Newark International Airport (1 hour’s drive), and Westchester County Airport (1 hour, 10 minutes’ drive).
