POSITION SUMMARY

Radiology Partners is seeking a Senior Vice President of Operations who will focus on leading a team of outstanding physicians and dedicated practice leaders to deliver optimal clinical value and service to our hospital and outpatient imaging center clients. The ideal candidate will have experience managing a P&L and hitting and exceeding revenue and expense goals on a consistent basis. They should be able to lead a team made up of managers and directors across a broad geography and inspire them to animate change through growth at every point of service delivery. The position requires close work with physicians and senior hospital executives to effectively implement practice wide objectives so this leader will need to model consultative influence in multiple directions.


Additionally, the Senior Vice President will work closely with our sales and business development teams to expand Radiology Partners presence across the Midwest.


POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Local Practice Leadership
    • Build trusting relationships with radiologist leadership including the Practice Presidents, Local Practice Boards (LPBs), and key influential physicians
    • Hire, retain, and mobilize a strong operations management team to support the success of each radiology practice within the geographic area
    • Strategically partner with Practice Presidents and LPBs to develop multi-year plans that align the group and RP’s financial and cultural goals
    • Activate clinical leaders to engage heavily in radiologist recruiting efforts and be vocal brand ambassadors for RP
  • Clinical Excellence
    • Drive the deployment and adoption of strategic Radiology Partners’ quality initiatives including information technology and clinical performance
    • Develop and implement processes that will leverage key performance statistics so that the President, LPB and key clients have the dynamic information required to maximize the value of Radiology Partners practices
    • Partner with physician leadership to improve performance on clinical and revenue cycle management areas like RP’s best practice recommendations (BPRs) and MIPs
  • Radiologist Engagement
    • Evaluate, create, and implement long term retention plan for Radiologists
    • Promote the value and dignity of all Radiologist with clarity and gratitude
    • Promote and implement active communications with all Radiologists through living the RP values
    • Ensure Practice Directors, Operators, and key Radiologists are driving a robust, high touch recruiting experience where sourced candidates fully understand the value of RP and the individual practice’s culture and value proposition
  • Financial Performance
    • Work with internal leaders to create annual budgets with an emphasis on being able to outperform expectations consistently
    • Partner with Practice leaders, Radiologists, and team to create and implement cost savings initiatives where applicable
    • Actively participate in the strategic review and negotiations of existing and new contracts
    • Partner with Internal Market Development and Integrations teams to generate leads that ultimately lead to generative deal flow
    • Identify and present options for financial improvement to Senior management
  • Client Management
    • Build and continuously strengthen relationships with client executives
    • Develop regular cadence for bringing Ops, Client Admin, and Practice leaders together to review outcomes and evaluate service levels against defined RP standards
    • Work with Practice Leaders to implement RP’s easier to practice tools including RP’s proprietary artificial intelligence (AI) tool and other efficiency drivers

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or similar field
  • Master’s or other higher degree preferred
  • 10+ years’ experience with operational transformations, financial management and optimizing healthcare practice operations
  • 7+ years in healthcare industry
  • Proven track record of exceeding annual goals
  • Ability to work with a minimum of direction, with understanding of the importance of effective communication with the Senior Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, Practice President, senior management, clinicians, client executives and others with whom the position interacts
  • Inspirational leader that uses analytical skills, financial acumen, discipline in budgeting, planning and execution, and intuition to optimize care performance and financial results
  • A leadership t style that positively influences RP’s ITESA values, creates a collaborative environment and high functioning standards
  • Accountable professional with the proven ability to own opportunities and problems completely and draw others to the table to reach collaborative solutions

The salary range for this position is $290K- $375K. Final determinations may vary based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, geographic location etc. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
