POSITION SUMMARY 

As a Radiology Coordinator, you will play a vital role within our radiology team by offering technical, clinical, and communication support to both our radiologists and clinical clientele. This position serves as a crucial link between our Infinity Management managed services divisions and our esteemed team of nationally recognized radiologists. To excel in this role, the Radiology Coordinator should possess a profound understanding of healthcare and radiology information systems. Proficiency in navigating PACS, RIS, and voice recognition systems is essential. The ideal candidate will demonstrate adaptability by taking on tasks that may extend beyond their typical expertise. Attention to detail and effective communication, whether in technical or layman's terms, are paramount when engaging with our diverse audience, which includes both radiology and clinical staff at our customer hospitals. In addition to liaising between radiologists, the IT department, referring physicians, and other administrative units, the candidate must exhibit strong teamwork skills and the ability to navigate various personalities, contributing to a positive work atmosphere. POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Handle calls from physicians, verify identities, relay results, or connect to radiologists. 
  • Act as a liaison between the hospital, clinical contacts, and radiologists. 
  • Ensure exams are ready for interpretation by attaching prior exams, notes, and documents.
  • Monitor worklists, balance workload, and assist in locating specialty resources. 
  • Maintain a safe work environment, report issues, and orient new staff. 


DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience preferred. 
  • 5+ years in a technical healthcare environment with multiple systems; radiology experience preferred. 
  • Familiarity with PACS, RIS, Voice Recognition, EHR/EMR systems, and radiology applications. 
  • Strong teamwork, excellent communication with physicians and stakeholders. 
  • Excellent customer service, MS-Office proficiency, and a solid understanding of radiology workflows. 


COMPENSATION 

The salary range for this position is $60,000.00 - $70,000.00. Final determinations may vary based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
