Position Summary

Radiology Partners (RP) has an open position for a Network Transformation Architect reporting to the Director of Networking and Physical Infrastructure.  The position will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of advanced network solutions across the RP enterprise. The Network Transformation Architect provides architectural design, strategy and planning, project management, technical expertise, and vendor management for RP’s LAN/WAN, data centers, cloud networks, telecommunications infrastructure. 


Position Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design and develop comprehensive network architecture strategies that align with business objectives and future growth.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance network capabilities.
  • Develop and implement network roadmaps, ensuring scalability, high availability/reliability, security and cost optimization of network infrastructure.
  • Design, implement, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, cloud networks, telecommunications and security architectures.
  • Lead other network roadmap initiatives, including software-defined networking (SDN) network function virtualization (NFV), data center consolidations, and telecommunication upgrades/right-sizing.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of network solutions with existing systems and processes.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to network engineers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, providing expertise during critical incidents.
  • Identify risks with current network infrastructure and recommend and implement mitigation techniques.
  • Create and maintain detailed network architecture documentation, including diagrams, design specifications, and operational procedures.
  • Establish metrics for measuring success, communicating expectations and monitoring progress to meet service levels and KPIs
  • Ensure network solutions comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
  • Cultivate relationships with network vendors, assist in contract negotiations, and oversee delivery of their services.
  • Occasional travel may be required

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in network architecture and design, with a focus on network transformation projects.
  • Extensive experience with LAN/WAN, cloud networking, telecommunications and related technologies.
  • Extensive experience deploying, relocating and redesigning on-premise, hybrid and cloud native data centers
  • Strong understanding of network security principles and technologies (e.g., firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS).
  • Proven experience in leading large-scale network projects, including cloud migrations and data center consolidations.
  • Industry certifications with Cisco, AWS, and ITIL are highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, presentation and project management skills.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and integration of networking with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies such as 5G, IoT, and AI in networking.

The hourly range for this position is $170,000-$190,000.
