Position Summary

Radiology Partners is seeking an Incidental Findings Coordinator.


Position Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for monitoring and documenting new or existing patients within the incidental findings (IF) module
  • Inform referring physicians of patients with IF radiology results and enter communication messages within the IF module
  • Notify patients of results within 30 days of examination
  • Follow and monitor patient charts until the finding is resolved or chart is closed
  • Weekly review of outstanding patient charts in need of follow up examinations and those charts that have recommended follow ups scheduled or completed
  • Pull end of month ROI statistics and document within designated spreadsheet
  • Effective communicate with referral sources
  • Serve as a liaison between radiology practice and clinical staff
  • Maintain patient confidentiality

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

·        Clinical background in radiology support

·        Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience

·        5+ years’ experience working in a clinical environment

·        Experience working in a team environment in order to achieve departmental initiatives

·        Understanding of Radiology Applications and Workflow 

·        Knowledge of Radiology Systems: 

o   PACS (e.g. Merge, Fuji, Intelerad) 

o   RIS (e.g. Merge, Fuji)  

o   Voice Recognition/Natural Language Processing (e.g. PowerScribe 360, mModal) 

o   EHR/EMR (e.g. Meditech, CPSI, McKesson, etc.)

The hourly range for this position is $30-$36.
