POSITION SUMMARY

Jefferson Radiology is seeking is seeking a full-time Remote Diagnostic Radiologist to support our growing practice in Connecticut.  The ideal candidate should be comfortable interpreting studies in emergency settings including Level I trauma center studies in an urban setting.  Acute inpatient studies are an important part of the total position responsibilities. 

  • Overnight shift reading from 11pm - 7am EST (8-hour shift) with schedule variety/flexibility
  • Onsite options available
  • For those who have Neuro training, there are additional opportunities with the late evening neuro shift.
  • Leadership abilities and interest would be considered an asset. The existing mature 24/7 on site Emergency Radiology program is ready to expand and take on new volume and the practice will support a leader willing to develop new programs and consider extensive network collaborations.
  • The practice maintains subspecialized support for complex or unfamiliar cases.

LOCAL PRACTICE OVERVIEW

Jefferson Radiology, established in 1963, is a 90+ physician sub-specialty group practice with 400+ non-physician staff members based in Connecticut and Massachusetts covering multiple imaging centers, community hospitals and tertiary-academic centers.  We have a unified, enterprise PACS with home workstations for all physicians, state-of-the art cloud-based system where we deploy AI tools and workflow enhancement solutions to optimize patient care and radiologist effectiveness. Our practice supports a freestanding 20-person residency.  We strive to provide the optimal practice for physicians seeking an expansive career practicing Emergency radiology at their highest potential in a progressive, innovate practice environment.

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Candidates must be a Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy and residency trained in the practice of Diagnostic Radiology
  • Board certified or eligible by American Board Of Radiology or American Board of Osteopathic Radiology
  • Fellowship training preferred, in either Body, MSK, Neuro, or ER
  • Licensed or ability to obtain medical license in the State of Connecticut and Massachusetts
