POSITION SUMMARY

Advanced Diagnostic Imaging is seeking a full-time Breast Imager. Candidates can expect full partnership track with competitive salary and benefits, full credentialing/licensing staff, and equality regarding call amongst all group members. The ideal candidate can expect a heavy concentration in dedicated breast imaging including screening and diagnostic mammography, as well as image guided procedures. A desire to work in a collaborative environment with breast surgeons, pathologists and oncologists is required. Our practice is affiliated with several hospitals that feature NAPBC and Breast Imaging Center of Excellence (BICOE) certifications. When not scheduled for a dedicated breast imaging shift, radiologists maintain proficiency with non-subspecialty diagnostic imaging on general diagnostic shifts.

Preferred candidates will be:

  • Proficient in tomosynthesis and breast MRI interpretation.
  • Skilled in performance of breast ultrasound.
  • Trained in sonographic, stereotactic and MRI guided biopsies; wire and non-wire localizations.
  • Demonstrate compassionate bedside manner in patient interaction; strong interpersonal skills
  • Thrive in a collaborative, high volume clinical environment.

LOCAL PRACTICE AND COMMUNITY OVERVIEW

Advanced Diagnostic Imaging is a dynamic and entrepreneurial practice that currently serves 9 hospitals in the Middle TN area and jointly owns/staffs 20 imaging centers in the greater Nashville area.  Practice growth has outpaced the population boom in Nashville in large part due to the success of our outpatient imaging venture, Premier Radiology, which has grown from 1 center to more than 20 over the past decade.  Our innovative IT platform and patient first approach have allowed us to become the preferred outpatient imaging provider in the area.

As a premier provider of radiology and other specialty services to Middle Tennessee and the surrounding area, Advanced Diagnostic Imaging, part of Radiology Partners, is setting a new standard for imaging excellence. Founded in 1966, ADI is comprised of 38 board-certified and subspecialty trained radiologists who, together, interpret more than 850,000 exams a year. In addition to maintaining hospital-based and teleradiology practices, ADI offers the region’s largest network of outpatient imaging centers, operating as Premier Radiology, which provide patients and referring physicians with an unparalleled level of service. ADI is a founding member of The Advisory Board’s Physician Roundtable and a leader in the use of technology to reduce costs and improve care.

Dubbed the "It City" by the New York Times, Nashville has blossomed into one of best cities in the United States.  A modest climate, diverse economic platform, professional/college sports, and never-ending music options mean there is always something to do in the Music City. While known for traditional meat-and-three joints and hot chicken, Nashville has seen an explosion of great restaurants, microbreweries, and distilleries.

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Candidates must be a Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy, Board-certified and residency trained in the practice of Diagnostic Radiology
  • Board certified/eligible by American Board of Radiology or the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology or Board certified in Diagnostic Radiology
  • A one-year post residency fellowship in Breast Imaging is required
  • MQSA certified is highly preferred
