Position Summary

  • M-F daytime onsite position
  • No weekend, holiday, or call requirements
  • Competitive compensation, PTO and benefits package
  • Perform procedures such as paracentesis, thoracentesis, venous access, and lumbar punctures. Prior experience in performing these procedures is a plus but not required
  • Assist in direct patient care services, including inpatient and outpatient consults, and follow up
  • Assist in outpatient Interventional Radiology clinic and all duties necessary to support the clinic
  • Perform or assist in fluoroscopic studies
  • Order and interpret laboratory and radiographic studies
  • Verbal and written communications with referring physicians, nurses, other health care professionals
  • Other duties as assigned

LOCAL PRACTICE AND COMMUNITY OVERVIEW

Baylor Radiologists Community Division, a Radiology Partners affiliated private practice in Houston, is seeking a Radiology Physician Assistant who will assist our radiologists in the management of patients for both the hospital and practice. We provide service to St. Luke’s Health consisting of 5 hospitals in the greater Houston area. Responsible for participation in departmental and hospital programs for quality assessment and improvement, identifying opportunities to improve services, making recommendations, and implementing actions as appropriate and consistent with Radiology Partners goals.

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Licensed as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in the state of Texas
  • Graduate of an accredited program
  • At least one year NP/PA experience a plus but not required
  • Certification by the NCCPA or AANP
  • Certified to perform Basic Life Support and ACLS
