Position Summary

Medical X-Ray Consultants (MXC) is a group of 8 collegial radiologists serving communities in beautiful Northwest Wisconsin. The practice covers a diverse group of primarily rural hospitals performing the breadth of diagnostic imaging as well as interventional services to include more basic interventional services at our smaller community hospitals and more advanced interventional services including stroke thrombectomy and oncology intervention at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire. MXC is seeking a well-trained General Radiologist. A fellowship trained radiologist in MSK, Body or Neuro radiology is preferred but not required. This is a partnership tracked, hybrid position with a flex schedule working both onsite and remotely. Typical schedule is 8a.m-4:30pm CST. Nighthawk call duties will be transitioned by end of 2023. The ideal candidate will be comfortable reading a full range of diagnostic radiology including General Radiology/X-Ray, Body Imaging, Cardiac/Cardiovascular, Computed Tomography, Computed Tomography Angiography (head, neck, chest, abdomen, pelvis, lower extremity), MRI, Musculoskeletal, Neuroradiology, Nuclear Medicine, Pediatrics, Ultrasound and Emergency Radiology

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Full-time Hybrid Day shift Position M-F 8am-4:30pm CST (flexible)
  • Onsite 4 days/week* | Remote 1 Day/week*
  • 1/8 weekend call rotation
  • Comfortable reading mammography and performing breast procedures 
  • Proven track record of outstanding interpersonal and communication skills is expected
  • Together with fellow radiologists provide direction and education to support staff
  • Together with fellow radiologists ensure hospital center compliance with federal and local regulatory agencies
  • Engage with and support the needs of the referring physicians and hospital administration
  • Together with fellow radiologist’s help foster and maintain the highest quality imaging care service to our facilities

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Candidates must be a Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy, Board-certified and residency trained in the practice of Diagnostic Radiology
  • Candidates must be American Board of Radiology or American Board of Osteopathic Radiology eligible or certified
  • Wisconsin & Minnesota medical license or the ability to obtain is required
  • Ability to read mammography and perform breast procedures
  • MQSA Certification preferred but not required
  • Ability to engage with and support the needs of the referring physicians
  • Ability to maintain a culture that provides quality outcomes
