POSITION SUMMARY

  • General Pediatric Body Radiologist (On-Site)
    • 2-year partnership track. Part-time and employed options available.
    • Over 90% pediatric cases, minimal adult general body responsibilities.
    • Subspecialist support for IR procedures, neuroradiology, and musculoskeletal MRI.
  • Work Schedule:
    • Weekdays – Generally 8a-5p daytime shifts, including 1 hour protected lunch break.
    • Weekends, Evenings, Holidays – Shared evenly by the section.
    • After-hours – At-home pager call for pediatric procedures, generous hourly stipend when called in.
    • Overnight pediatric diagnostic radiology coverage provided by third-party teleradiology service.

ARA serves 24 hospitals and operates 17 outpatient imaging centers, including centers that offer general multimodality services as well as centers that focus exclusively on women’s health.  ARA is partnered with the Dell Medical School at the University of Texas to redefine how diagnostic testing is designed, delivered and leveraged to improve health.

Austin Radiological Association is seeking a skilled, motivated radiologist, for a partnership track position to join our pediatric radiology section of 8 pediatric radiologists in Austin.   The Division, based out of the Dell Children's Medical Center of Central Texas, consists of highly-skilled, fellowship-trained pediatric radiologists who provide specialized imaging, diagnostic interpretation, and offer cutting-edge interventional procedures. The Dell children’s hospital is a 248 bed state of the art freestanding pediatric facility in the region serving a 46-county area and beyond and houses the region’s only level I pediatric trauma center and Level IV NICU.

The ideal candidate will also be comfortable with general radiology.   The work environment is both desirable and optimized for efficiency.  The practice includes support staff, robust IT infrastructure, and optional private or common reading rooms for afterhours shifts. The weekend call is shared equally among all radiologists until 4 pm.  We have a teleradiology company that covers overnight hours, including weekends.
