ARA is seeking a highly motivated Pre-Imaging Services /Authorization & Eligibility Rep to join our growing team!

Authorization & Eligibility:
 • Answers incoming calls from all customers regarding authorization, eligibility, and/or estimates.
 • Utilizes work list to contact appropriate Utilization Management Company or Insurance Payer to request authorization    within guidelines
 • Executes eligibility searches using available applications
 • Researches eligibility alerts to determine if there are active insurance coverage available and insurance updates needed in the RIS
 • Documents authorization and eligibility details and notes in the appropriate application fields
 • Adheres to referring physician requested protocol regarding authorization requests
 • Sends timely requests to referring physicians for support with authorization processes
 • Communicates authorization cases denied for medical necessity or requiring peer to peer review to the referring physician for resolution
 • Validates all authorizations for accuracy prior to exam
 • Responsible for contacting patients directly to update insurance information to obtain active eligibility verification or provide appointment options if authorization is not obtained the day prior to service.
 • Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein.


In order to qualify to work from home (remotely) you must be able to work independently and have high speed cable internet service (50 mbps download and 5 mbps upload) from a reliable cable provider (Satellite internet and mobile hotspots not accepted). Equipment will be provided for you. The VPN device that is provided will need to be connected to an available port on the modem or wireless router.

Desired Professional Skills and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED.  
  • One to three years of experience in a healthcare or high-volume call center environment and medical terminology experience for radiology procedures preferred.
