POSITION SUMMARY
Radiology Partners is seeking a high-performing attorney who will partner with local radiology practices to provide legal counsel and develop solutions to complex issues as we grow the nation’s leading radiology practice. This position involves developing and managing client relationships with local radiology practices and their leaders to identify unique clinical and business needs, drafting and negotiating employment and services agreements, and helping build the systems to deliver exceptional legal service at scale. The attorney in this role is a critical partner to the clinical and operations leaders of the country’s top practices. The Operations attorneys at Radiology Partners are skilled practitioners who deeply understand their clients’ business and collaborate actively and frequently. We like and respect one another, and we look forward to welcoming the next exceptional attorney to our team. This position will report to the SVP & Managing General Counsel – Operations.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provides advice and support on a variety of legal issues relating to Practice operations and transactions. 
  • Develops and maintains client relationships with local-practice and business-team partners that help identify legal risks and issues arising in day-to-day operations, contractual matters, and business transactions—and collaboratively develop solutions with business and clinical partners. 
  • Counsels practice leadership regarding proposed arrangements and complex legal matters. 
  • Drafts and negotiates a wide range of contracts and legal documents. 
  • Negotiates business deals and legal disputes. 
  • Manages and coordinates matters with outside counsel. 
  • Advises on the Practice’s corporate governance documents and structures. 
  • Helps build and refine processes and systems to support the delivery of exceptional legal services across a nationwide organization.
  • Supports business counterparts in responding to audits or litigation matters. 
  • Promotes communication and cooperation among teammates to create a spirit of unity in the department. 
  • Works closely with leadership and teammates to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to direct reports (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions). 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Strategic thinking skills to provide practical advice that grounds legal risk analysis in the context of the business
  • Strong understanding of legal and business factors related to health care services
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both legal and business contexts, to enable clients to clearly understand how legal issues affect their business goals and priorities
  • Strong interpersonal skills that form the foundation of an open and active client rapport
  • Ability and confidence to quickly deliver wise judgment and counsel in fast-moving situations
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to independently prioritize competing work matters
  • Ability to work with and maintain confidential information


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school 
  • Licensed to practice law and a member in good standing of a state bar
  • 6+ years of corporate/transactional/operations combined experience at a law firm and in-house at a health care company preferred, strongly preferably health care services


DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Experience operating in complex healthcare business environments and familiarity with healthcare regulatory laws and structures
  • Experience working with a cross-functional business team, either as in-house or outside counsel

COMPENSATION
The salary range for this position is $185,000-$210,000. Final determinations may vary based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, geographic location etc. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
