POSITION SUMMARY
The Manager, IT Procurement manages the execution, monitoring, and continuous improvement of the IT procurement process for endpoint devices, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations, alignment with budget, compliance, and business requirements. This role is responsible for the daily operations of the process, overseeing hardware and software procurement, analyzing process performance, implementing industry best practices, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency, quality, and effectiveness across IT procurement workflows. The Manager, IT Procurement is a critical member of the RP IT organization driving standardization and cost efficiency across RP by streamlining purchasing processes, optimizing vendor performance, and collaborating with asset management, security, and vendor management to support the full endpoint device lifecycle.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Oversee all IT hardware and software purchasing for endpoint devices across the enterprise, ensuring alignment with budget, compliance, and business needs. 
  • Standardize and streamline national IT purchasing to achieve economies of scale, measurable cost savings, operational efficiency, and improved vendor performance. 
  • Working with IT vendor management, assist in negotiating contracts, managing vendor relationships, and monitoring supplier performance to drive cost savings and service quality. 
  • Work cross-functionally with other teams (e.g., IT asset management, IT vendor management, security, system engineering) to ensure sourcing decisions meet technical requirements, align with budgets, comply with security standards, and reflect asset lifecycle needs. 
  • Advise asset & vendor management on procurement procedures and compliance considerations to align their policies with purchasing practices of endpoint devices and software. 
  • Supply feedback on purchasing efficiencies and supplier performance to support asset management, purchasing, and vendor management improvements. 
  • Contribute purchase order and contract fulfillment data to support asset inventory accuracy. 
  • Maintain accurate, real-time records of all endpoint devices and software in ServiceNow across RP, including assignment, location, lifecycle status, and compliance attributes. 
  • Validate that endpoint devices and software configuration items in ServiceNow are accurate, current, and properly related to business services 
  • Oversee inventory control processes such as receiving, tagging, deployment, recovery, and disposal of endpoint devices to ensure accountability and security. 
  • Forecast and manage endpoint device demand by monitoring stock levels, refresh cycles, and upcoming business needs to prevent shortages or overstock. 

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred 
  • 5+ years of experience in IT procurement processes and tools for endpoint devices and software; healthcare experience preferred. 
  • Strong understanding of IT endpoint technologies (radiologist workstations, laptops, desktops, mobile devices, peripherals, endpoint software). 
  • Familiarity with IT Asset Management (ITAM), Configuration Management Database (CMDB), and lifecycle management practices. 
  • Knowledge of IT security and compliance requirements related to endpoint device procurement, deployment, and disposal. 
  • Experience with inventory control processes including receiving, tagging, distribution, and recovery of IT assets. 
  • Proven track record of achieving measurable cost savings and process improvements through strategic sourcing and purchasing standardization. 
  • Hands-on experience with purchasing and asset platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Workday). 
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Certified Purchasing Professional, ITIL or similar is preferred. 
  • Effective communication and relationship-building skills to influence stakeholders and align sourcing with business needs. 

COMPENSATION
The salary range for this position is $115,000 - $135,000. Final determinations may vary based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, geographic location etc. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
