POSITION SUMMARY 
Radiology Partners is looking for a Registered Nurse to work in collaboration with the radiologists, nurse practitioners, ultrasound technologists, front desk coordinator, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for their patients. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the following tasks: patient care and evaluation, assisting with in-office procedures, patient monitoring during procedures, pre- and post-procedure care, patient education, coordination of care, telephone triage, medication management, participation in quality improvement projects, and participation in cross-training programs, including front desk operations. The Registered Nurse may also be expected to call in prescriptions for patients. A Registered Nurse should promote and restore patients' health by completing the nursing process; collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and multidisciplinary team members to provide physical and psychological support to patients and their families. 

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, and reconciling current mediations and allergies with each office visit.
  • Providing hands-on assistance to physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals during in-office procedures. This includes but is not limited to preparing the patient, setting up sterile fields, handling sterile instruments, and monitoring the patient's condition throughout the procedure. 
  • Educating patients about pre-procedure instructions and post-procedure care, including follow-up appointments. Educating patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, self-care practices, medication adherence, and disease prevention. 
  • Collaborating with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans, and to ensure a smooth procedural experience. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records in the electronic health record system. Accurately documenting patient assessments, interventions, medications administered, and any complications that arise during procedures in the electronic health record. 
  • Providing professional telephone triage to assess patient needs and prioritize clinical tasks. 
  • Completing medication reconciliation, administering prescribed medications – including oral sedation medications, and documenting administration accurately. Adhering to strict safety protocols and actively participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care. 
  • Performing weekly quality control checks. 
  • Participating in cross-training programs, including front desk operations, to enhance overall team efficiency and effectiveness. 

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 
  • Education: An Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school is required. 
  • Licensure: A valid Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license is required. 
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification to be obtained within six months of hire. 
  • Clinical Experience: One year of RN experience is required. Previous experience in Radiology, surgical, or procedural setting is preferred. 
  • Sterile Technique Proficiency: Demonstrates aptitude for sterile technique and a strong understanding of infection control principles. 
  • Familiarity with Specialized Equipment: Knowledge of and experience working with specialized equipment and technology relevant to the clinic's procedures is preferred. 
  • Strong Assessment Skills: Ability to assess patient conditions, monitor vital signs, and identify potential complications is required. 
  • Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving: Ability to synthesize data, determine priorities for care, and quickly adjust to changes in patient-focused events is required. 
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build rapport with patients and their families, communicate effectively with the healthcare team, and promote patient advocacy is required. 
  • Organizational and Multitasking Skills: The ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively is required. 
  • Compassion and Empathy: A caring and empathetic approach when working with patients and their families is required.
