General Pediatric Body Radiologist (On-Site) 

  • 2-year partnership track. Part-time and employed options available
  • Over 90% pediatric cases, minimal adult general body responsibilities

Work Schedule:

  • Weekdays – 8a-5p general daytime shifts, including 1 hour protected lunch break
  • Call/Holidays – 8a-4p weekend/holiday or 4p-1030p evening shifts, shared evenly by the section
  • After-hours – At-home pager call for pediatric procedures, generous hourly callback stipend
  • No overnight diagnostic shifts - coverage provided by contracted pediatric teleradiology service. 

Our practice is seeking a skilled, motivated candidate to join our section of 6 pediatric radiologists and 1 pediatric-specific procedural APP. The section, based out of Dell Children's Medical Center, provides specialized pediatric imaging, diagnostic interpretation, and cutting-edge interventional procedures to the children of Central Texas. DCMC is a 248-bed freestanding pediatric facility serving a 46-county area and beyond and houses the region’s only level I pediatric trauma center and Level IV NICU. We also serve numerous additional pediatric facilities and outpatient centers in Austin. The caseload is over 90% pediatric, but the ideal candidate will also be comfortable with general body radiology. The practice features 24/7 support staff, robust IT infrastructure, and a collegial working environment.  We are especially proud of our close partnership with our referring providers and the critical role we play in providing radiology services to the ever-growing pediatric population of Central Texas.

Austin Radiological Association ARA Diagnostic Imaging (Austin Radiological Association) is a nationally renowned radiology practice with a 70+ year history of providing exceptional service and clinical care to the patients of Austin and Central Texas. We are one of the largest radiology groups in the country, with 110+ radiologists across all subspecialties. 

ARA serves 24 hospitals and operates 17 outpatient imaging centers in Central Texas. ARA partners with Dell Medical School at the University of Texas, helping to redefine how diagnostic testing is designed, delivered, and leveraged to improve health. ARA physicians serve as the radiology faculty for University of Texas Dell Medical School. As such, the practice also runs the ACGME residency program and radiologists have opportunities to teach residents, fellows, and medical students. Appointment as Dell Medical School faculty is optional. Qualified candidates may be eligible for protected academic time. 

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENE 

  • Board certified or board eligible in Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology
  • Completion of a pediatric radiology fellowship or CAQ-certification in pediatric radiology 
  • Radiology fellows and residents are welcome to apply
